Portraits of the Psyche

The numerological portraits are a series of embroideries based on the date of birth of different historical figures who shared in a certain way the same interest. I am interested in those who developed their professional practice along with their spiritual, cosmological, artistic, metaphysical and / or psychological researches.

Based on the date of birth and by reducing to one-digit the month, day and year is that I elaborate the numerological study. From these three digits a total of seventeen numbers that correspond to a specific aspect of the conscious, unconscious, subconscious and supra-conscious are deployed. In this way, I obtain the different stages of a person’s life, aptitudes, obstacles, maternal and paternal figures, as well as other issues that arise throughout his life. Here, the numbers from 1 to 9 are understood as specific vibrations related to particular qualities. Depending the place of each number this study also shows the particular tendencies of an individual.

This arises from the desire to know relationship existing between certain artists, thinkers, authors, philosophers, mystics and scientists who shared humanistic interests, despite having existed in different periods.

Retratos de la psique

Los retratos numerológicos son una serie de bordados que parten de la fecha de nacimiento de distintos personajes históricos que compartieron en cierta forma un mismo interés. Me interesan aquellos que desarrollaron su práctica  profesional a la par de sus búsquedas espirituales, cosmológicas, metafísicas y/o psicológicas.

Basada en la fecha de nacimiento y reduciendo a un dígito mes, día y año es que elaboro el estudio numerológico. A partir de estos tres dígitos se despliegan un total de diecisiete números que corresponden a un aspecto específico del consciente, inconsciente, subconsciente y supra-consciente.

De esta manera se obtienen las distintas etapas de la vida de una persona, aptitudes, obstáculos, figuras materna y paterna, así como otras cuestiones que estarán presentes a lo largo de su vida. Aquí, los números del 1 al 9 son entendidos como vibraciones específicas que reflejan una cualidad particular y dependiendo el lugar donde se sitúen reflejan una polaridad positiva o negativa en las tendencias particulares del individuo.

Esto nace del deseo de conocer a profundidad la relación que existe entre ciertos artistas, pensadores, autores, filósofos, místicos y científicos que compartieron intereses humanísticos, a pesar de haber existido en distintos periodos.
